Almost every video we make is built to grab attention: hook in the first three seconds, get to the point, end with a call to action. WORK FLOW is the opposite. It's video you're not supposed to watch closely.

What WORK FLOW is

WORK FLOW is a new series from Relevant Content Drone Ops, the drone side of our studio. Each episode is a long, slow, steady flight over a Nebraska place, set to smooth, low-tempo music with no voices. No talking head, no sales pitch. Just the view.

Put it on a second monitor while you answer email. Play it on the TV in your lobby or waiting room. Leave it running in the shop. It's there when you look up, and it stays out of the way when you don't.

Episode 1: Holy Family Shrine, Gretna

The first episode is 42 minutes over the Holy Family Shrine in Gretna, from sunrise to sunset. If you've driven I-80 between Lincoln and Omaha, you've seen it on the hill.

We take off before sunrise and catch the first color on the horizon, the shrine at dawn, the moment the sun hits the hill, a long stretch of morning over the hills, an old barn, and sunset over the shrine. The episode has chapters, so you can jump to your favorite part of the day.

It was filmed over two days, September 17, 2024 and January 25, 2025, on a DJI Air 3S, then edited and colored here at the studio in Lincoln.

Episodes 2 and 3: back home in Papillion

I grew up in Papillion, so the next two episodes are close to home.

  • Episode 2: Walnut Creek. 22 minutes over Walnut Creek, from a snowy blue-hour dawn over the trails to the lake, the prairie at sunset and last light over the ball fields. Filmed January 1 and 2, 2025. Watch Episode 2

  • Episode 3: 4th of July in Papillion. 22 minutes around Papillion, from a hazy summer morning over the water tower through green farm country and big afternoon clouds to the fireworks after dark. Filmed over four days in summer 2025. Watch Episode 3

Why we made it

A two-minute brand video might use 20 seconds of aerials. The rest of the flying never gets seen. WORK FLOW gives that footage room to breathe.

It's also the best way I know to show what good aerial video looks like: slow, steady moves, clean color and no shaky footage. If you've ever wondered what a drone could do for your property or your brand, put an episode on and see.

What aerial video can do for your business

Drone footage shows scale and a sense of place that a camera on the ground can't. We use it for:

  • Real estate: photos and video from ground level and rooftop height up to 400 feet.

  • Construction progress updates, so clients and investors can watch a project come together.

  • Events, from golf outings to festivals.

  • Brand videos that open on your building, your team or your town from above.

I'm a licensed and insured commercial drone pilot. That matters here: about half of Lincoln sits in controlled airspace, so not every drone operator can legally fly where your business is.

Raw drone photos and video start at $350, and drone footage is a $100 add-on, or included, in our marketing packages.
